COUNSELLING
Christine Pyatt BA (Hons) BACP Accredited Counsellor
UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor
Counselling provides the opportunity to talk things through discussing in detail any difficulties that you are currently experiencing. Bottled up feelings can become overwhelming, but talking them through in neutral, safe and supportive setting can help to dissolve these feelings. The aim of counselling is to help you to become more in control of your life and to make your own choices.
Christine Pyatt has a caring, practical and creative style of counselling selecting psychological and physiological techniques for specific issues. Person-centred approach for bereavement, any life changes or loss issues. CBT or cognitive behavioural therapy for stress, anxiety, anger, panic attacks, depression, social phobia, PTSD, obsessional-compulsive disorder and eating disorders. Transactional-analysis and solution-focused approaches for relationship issues. First counselling session will be an assessment and usually 6 to 8 sessions are recommended. Handouts on anxiety, stress, anger management, breathing & relaxation techniques, the grief wheel and assertiveness training will be provided. Christine is governed by the BACP Code of Ethics.
